Well i decided to start playing TheSims3 again after years of putting it down, mind you this is TheSims3 on PS3 not PC.
So it's sooooooooo gutted in content.

I've played TheSims2, Sims Castaways, TheSims3 & as the series went on on console i've noticed there's certain missing or less abilities & features from each previous Sims game.
I haven't downloaded any content & this is Sims3 not Pets.

Anyway the graphics look better of course but little things aren't available like.......
There's no Aliens, alien abductions like in Sims2
No vampires, cannot become a vampire.
The ability to purchase clothing is reintroduced, it's a limited number of clothing with different designs & colors.

Cinematics
Aspiration: Replaced with lifetime happiness.
Slacker career
Fears: Replaced with negative moodlets.
Underwear: Underwear clothing style is part of pajamas.
Private school: Reappears as Boarding school in The Sims 3: Generations.
Visible retail stores: Reappears as market[TS3:WA], consignment store[TS3:A], and gallery shop[TS3:ITF].
Interests
Memories: Returns in The Sims 3: Generations
Aliens, alien abduction, and alien pregnancy: Aliens and alien abduction return in The Sims 3: Seasons.
Flower beds that require watering and bushes that require trimming
Environment and comfort needs: Replaced by moodlets
The ability to create new neighborhoods. Replaced by Create-A-World
Illness: Returns in The Sims 3: Seasons
Inheritance: Returns as a Lifetime Reward[TS3:G]

The need to buy clothes
Cockroaches. Returns as a collectibles
Dreaming during sleep: Re-added in patch 1.5/1.6
Body Shop
Crosswords in newspapers
Astrological signs: Returns in The Sims 3: Late Night
The need to bathe babies and toddlers: Returns with the changing table premium content
Shops (sims no longer buy food on commercial lots, and The Sims 3 does not have magazines and video games (as an item that can be bought and played on a computer). The ability to purchase clothing is reintroduced in The Sims 3: Into the Future).
The picture-in-picture window (also present in The Sims).
Lost skillsEdit
Mechanical skill: Replaced with Handiness
Cleaning skill
Creativity skill: Replaced with several relevant skills; Guitar, Painting, and Writing in base game, and additional skills from expansion packs and store including Sculpting, Piano, Bass, Drums, Violin and Laser Rhythm-a-con skills.
Yoga secret skill
Meditation secret skill: Returns in The Sims: World Adventures as an ability upon reaching level 5 of the Martial Arts skill.
Lost NPCsEdit
NPCs that were in The Sims 2 base game, but not in The Sims 3.

Exterminator
Headmaster
Hula Zombies
Social Bunny
Therapist
Gardener
Nanny: Replaced with babysitter.
Cashier: Reappears in market[TS3:WA] and consignment store[TS3:A].
Bartender: Replaced with Mixologist[TS3:LN]
Lost objectsEdit
These objects (with unique interactions) were found in The Sims 2 base game but not The Sims 3 base game:

Aspiration rewards: Replaced with lifetime reward
Career rewards
Piano: Returns in The Sims 3: Late Night
Pinball Machines: Returns as premium content from the Store[1]

Changes in AnimationsEdit
Pregnancy
Birthday parties / aging up
Death
Marriage
Making out: has been toned down
Getting in and out of a vehicle

The man-eating plant is gone, also no vampires & ghost abilities like possession is gone.

You cannot create meals with random ingredients, & your sim's hair doesn't grow overtime like in Sims2 Castaways.

Anyway i decided to start a new game after years of not playing so i started with a single young adult female with 3kids cause i wanted to go through growing up.
You can't just plop tots without supervision so i had to create either a young adult or older.

So you get the pick of two areas........poor areas lol, a small home & small lot to build on.
Cool.

Well my Sim got a job of course, made so money, managed the kids which was a blast lol.
You pretty much do the parenting thing, feed them, hold them, change them, etc.
Being Sims you also teach them or let them gain skills as any other Sim.

You go off to work & yup a babysitter comes over & takes care of them while you're away.
And of course they get paid, if you have no money the service takes some item/items from your home to makeup the payment lol.
So don't hire services if you have no simoleons (money) saved up.
Maid services alone cost $125 a day.

The house won't fit a large family, so anything larger then two Sims per bed you'll either have to buy more than 1 kingsize bed & make friends, or a few going to be sleeping on couches & the floor.
Or you can save up then expand the house itself as you go but having a single Sim parent making all the cash that'll be difficult & time consuming.

I did wanna go through the whole watch Sim toddlers grow up naturally thing but that was getting boring, things were getting expensive & having a short list of skills starting out lots of things, fun things were limited.
And so i decided to speed up the growth of my Sim toddlers a bit.

With a Sims birthday cake you can speed the growth of the Sim who blows out the candles, they don't have to eat the cake itself & you really don't have to setup a part.
Just buy a cake then select any Sim & blow out the candles.
However it seems to be limited to 1 or 2 birthday cakes a day, so you can't go from tiny toddlers to full adult in a single day.

Well i was stuck, sped up aging but only got to teen, meaning the single Sim parent was still the only Sim making all the cash.
I wanted the full house of 6Sims (consoles are limited to 6 Sims) but went four & figured i'd add or adopt then change them as i wished, unfortunately adopting Sims you're stuck with a random created Sim & you can't adopt teen & up.

However luckily the Instant Beauty only cost 10 karma points to use, so you can change your Sims appearance (not age or gender) anytime you have enough karma points.

Anyway after another scrap of my Sims household i restarted again with the full 6 Sims, all adults.
I went adults because customizing each Sims I notice that when they age-up their appearance slightly changes.

You get 3 lots to choose from when starting with nothing.
Cheap houses, poor neighborhoods............for Sims that is.
lol If poor houses & neighborhoods was like that in real life i'd love it.

With 6Sims the house is small so like before your Sims will have to work & save up.

There's a large variety of clothes but when the hit a limited amount they just repeat with different color schemes.

Like if you had 60 shirts only 30 different types.

And yea the abilities etc alot were cut for downloadable content & expansion packs for PC.

OMG TheSims etc. on PC wow PC gamers get taken advantage of.
